Tour of CA

Last Friday, the entire second grade went on a tour around our school to learn more about some of the people who make this school so great.  Students had the opportunity to listen to each individual talk about their respective responsibilities and then ask thoughtful and meaningful questions.  The individuals our students got to see were...Mr. Facciolla, Mr. Mackenzie, Ms. Seymore, Mr. Lee, Ms. Nockowitz, Ms. Broh, Mr. Ray, Mr. Mele and Ms. Long.  Please enjoy the slideshow below...

Land & Water Forms

As a culminating activity for our study of land and water forms, students built physical models using homemade 'Play-Doh' provided by some of our parents (thank you!). In their table groups, students collectively decided how they were going to build their land and water forms. In addition, they named their creations and made map keys to identify their land and water forms. Enjoy the photos of their creativity and newly gained knowledge!

Me In A Bag

During the first few weeks of school, our students brought in three items to represent themselves.  Each students' items were kept in a bag before they would give hints as to what their items were.  Classmates would then guess what items might be in the bag before they were revealed.  Please enjoy the slideshow below which shows each student with their three items.
